Fruits and "LED-flies"

When most are still sleeping in the sunday morning, I am on my way to Msia liao. Yawnzz!!! Although we entered msia through the second link, but there was still a jam lor. Entering the custum (Singapore's) are so much convenient right now. Everything is to be automatic and DIY liao. scan the passport yourself, place your thumbprint at the scanner to verify your identity... everything is AUTO. However, over at the msia custom. is all about waiting lah! as expected.

After completing all those relevant passport "stamping". We went over to Skudai - Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (皇后花園) for Breakfast. WAH LAU. they have got plenty of vegetarian stalls there. That place is like my "heaven".
Though that area is abit run down and the food may not be that healthy, the food is superb!!! Food such as 菜头粿 and wanton mee is sooooo nice. Is just like those olden days food that we used to have in Singapore. I missed those taste alot SIAH~ They also have got this very uniqe kind of kueh/food which we doesnt see it in SG - it is 木薯球 tapioca ball? most of the time we only see 木薯糕, but this 木薯球 is OMG! so special... the outer crust is crispy and abit salty but the inside is sweet. The 口感 is something like a potato and not tapioca. Therefore, at one point in time, i can't differentiate a potato and tapioca. HAHAHA! They still have got alot of food, but aiyah no chance to try everything. must certainly go back for them. i found my heaven!!! and the main thing is... they are cheap! It seems like everything is on 50% discount (due to exchange rate).

After breakfast, we proceed to Jusco at Tebrau City. According to Wiki, Jusco is actually a chain of "general merchandise stores" (or simply known as hypermarket). It is also the largest of its type in Japan. I'm pretty amazed that Singapore doesn't have Jusco around. Maybe they see no market in our island. Afterall, most of the Big Japanese hypermart such as Sogo and YewHan(very long time ago - dun even know how to spell it liao) eventually pull out of Singapore.

Anyway, Jusco is actually quite BIG. somethings like the combination of Courts Mega warehous + the big giant at tampines. There is also a shopping centre, named Tesco, nearby. I heard that it is owned by a Germany or France businessman. Unfortunately, due to time issues, we did not get to fully shopped the whole of Tebrau City. Oh yah! The things there are rather cheap as compared to those there were in Singapore. For example, if you buy a pair of formal shoes in SG for 99 dollars (let says from Bata retail store). You only need to pay $99 but is in Ringgit. THAT IS SO MUCH CHEAPER!!! and that is what I did Haha! I seriously need another pair of formal shoes for my everyday work. For this trip i have saved alot man!! I forgotten to mention something, the shoes that i bought got further 50% discount, so that mean in total i saved 75%!!! Shopping in Msia for some "basic necessities" is sort of amazing i should say.

After the shopping trip at jusco, we head to a vegetarian restaurant named 雅阁. In total, there were seven dishes. The amount given for each dishes are DAMN alot. Moreover, you can also refill the rice bowl. Totally eat till i dropped dead. Never felt so full before. And for a very long time I never felt so 满足 LIAO! suddenly got a 幸福感 after the meals (the dinner is even better)

After lunch we head to a 土产点. And I bought this mochi which look like sushi. Have yet to try it, becoz it looks so nice. LOL! will upload the photo if i got the time. we bought some other stuff too. Hai! should have bought more lor. so tasty... tasty.... and tasty. haiyah! i gonna finish them soon le. I never feel so hungry before SIAH~ eat eat eat and eat. On that day itself I think i have put on alot of weight!

After some travelling on the sort of bumpy road, we finally reach one of our main aim of the day. Desaru fruit farm. A bit different from what I actually thought of. Not that really fantastic (in terms of the types of food). I was told that they got plenty different kinds of fruit. But all that i have come across are papaya, banana, passion fruit, jumbu, bittergourd, rambutan, dragon fruit... and what huh? forget SIAH~

But i managed to learn something and may have also solve one of the mystery event that was encounted during my army days. I have once told some of my friends that there was once I saw this "monitor lizard" kind of creature which also look like a cat/rat at "Ground M". And i suspect the thing that i saw is actually this...

but.... i cant be sure is actually the common palm civet. I remember the one i saw is much more look like a lizard in terms of the body, and the mouth should be longer. Anyway, attached are some of the photos that I have taken during the farm trip.

This sheep very cute isn't it? So obedient of him/her for looking at the camera while i'm taking a photo.

A very timid looking monkey. Seems like some killer is on the way~

And i nearly got attacked by this stupid BIG BIRD for filming his mistress.

The Passion fruit and it's flower- imo, the real passion fruit taste more like orange, unlike those passion fruit syrup drinks that we usually have.

The Jumbu fruit. It look like some part of the human body - front? back? it also resembles some alien thingy

Some feel that banana look like P3nis. but i think the flower look more like a p3nis. *It was belief that infertile woman must touch this flower* why only women are allow to touch HUH?

Can you spot the "rubbish/shit"?

The close up. Haha. Farmer says the best time to eat the durain is end of June for this year.

Anyway my mom bought some very expensive product from the farm - Tongkat Ali soak in Royal Honey. Hahaha! ladies purchase tongkat ali? We were told that tongkat ali is not only beneficial to men. Since, it main functions is to help clarify/strengthen the kidney, tongkat ali is therefore good for both men n women. I'm very poor, so didn't get to buy this kind of "high end" product. but the propolis does draws my attention. GOOD for skin! wah! 0_0 i wanna strike 4d leh (anyway, i bought 8911, ite, the first prize is 1911. WTF!) BTW, we were all given free fruits. Not that much.but the fruits are very fresh and crunchy! especially the guava, taste so much better than those that are found in our market.

After the farm trip, we travel to kota tinggi for dinner and also for the fireflies!!! Dinner was at a seafood restaurant. HUH? seafood?!!! haha... no lah... The tour guide has actually communicate with the restaurant before hand. because kota tinggi does not have vegetarian food? so they actually hired chef to cook for us. anyway. dinner is really! Really! REALLY REALLY REALLY! NICE!!! not becuase we accidentally ate the seafood lah! the chap chai (mixed vegetable) is simply perfect. though chap chai is just a normal dish that most aunties know how to cook, but it seems like no one can cook till this level, not even my ahmah (imho). The curry... wow... the beancurd in black sweet sauce... WOW... the crispy chicken (some would call it the fake meat....) is wow wow... the outer is  VERY de crispy... i swear that the taste is even better then the REAL meat. this are the main WOW WOW factor, besides all other 4 dishes which are quite good too. Really very full after all these different meals. so FATttteeeennnnIIIInnnNGGG SIAH~

After dinner, the coach brought us to somewhere which is near to Kota tinggi river - another seafood restaurant. I think Kota tinggi is famous for seafood huh? is like here and there. anyway, this is one of the 3 place that tourist can take a ferry (or small boat) to tour the river and experience the once in a blue moon scene. I think we can barely see fireflies in singapore or even tekong. We were told that fireflies prefer only certain kind of trees - 红树 (not all these hong shu are actually the same). Anyway, the night view in Kota tinggi is beautiful.... reminds me of the tekong night view. and about the fireflies, it is very different from what we have seen from TV. in TV most of these fireflies are green in color and they usually fly around, and it's lights doesnt flicker right? In actual fact, the light they produce actually flicker and the "fire" are actually white. They seldom fly around, most of the time will stay at one spot and "kuey seeow" (cluster "f*ck"). hahaha wat a word! So it is something like you place LED lights on the trees. but is not that as bright as LED lights lah. I miss those fireflies now. So pretty... pretty fireflies...
