This is a story about three loners - Pok Pok, Desmond and Max.
Max is a loner, and so is the other two. The three of them decided to meet at a favoured and easily accessible place where no one knows any of them or even aware of their existence. The ideal place? Upper Thomson Road~
It all started off with the most common food you can ever find in the streets - Roti Prata. Max wouldn't say the food is super delicious, but not that bad to get fullfill one's appetitie. Moreover, they are also a good choice for loners who wanna share their views and gossips on work, study, relationships and etc...
Up next, the 3 loners initially planned to head for one of the crowd-pleasing shop - Dao Huey~ However, something caught their attention.... SALTED CARAMEL~ This is the shop which Nax have been dying to try but do not have the opportunity. Don't ask Max why didnt he manage to get there all these years or months, Max didnt know either.
The shop was pretty empty at first, with quite a number of tables avail for them. So, pok pok went to "Chop" the seats, while Max and Desmond went ahead with the ordering. Straight after Pok Pok chopped the seats, she already requested for "Ramp and Raisin". Max didn't spelt wrongly, this is really what she has mentioned. " R A M P & R A I S I N ". Max has no idea how that particular flavour of ice cream got its name. What i assume is that, the process of producing this ice cream requires a ramp, and the raisins shall "travel" down the ramp and finally land onto the ice cream. This is my guess? WHAHAHAHA! Well, perhaps next time you all should be more attentive to the naming of the ice cream.
Following, is the most silliest part u can ever come across! Desmond decided that he should get Avocado, as they are beneficial to health, on the other hand Max decided to get Salted Caramel as it is beneficial to his stomach as well as satisfied his cravings. Max initially has the intention to get Cookies and cream (after hearing so much good review from friends and online comments), but after some sampling, it doesnt really taste that great after all, there's only taste of vanilla not even a mild taste of cookies. Anway, Desmond order one scoop of RAMP & RAISIN, and one scoop of AVOCADO. Seeing Desmond had already ordered, Max ordered a scoop of Salted Caramel. Both of them didnt notice they made a BIG mistake. Max was looking at the price chart, and he saw this
one scoop ------ $2.50
double scoop ------- $4.50
triple scoop --------- $6.50
BUT!!!! now they have order one scoop per flavour!!!! so the calculation becomes
3 x one scoop ------- 3 x $2.50 = $7.50
Which they can actually save $1. Max went stunned O.o and told Desmond about the price chart. Desmond tried to salvage the stupid act, but was too late, they have already finish preparing the ice cream. T_T
As the cups are pretty big, one single of ice cream in that cup look really pathetic. the most pathetic part is. that there are at least 3 or 4 groups of people around them, and they came in 3s or 4s. Most of them ordered the triple scoop or 2 double scoops to share. This is silly!!! Three of them seems as if they are used to loner life, eating their ice cream at one corner, pretending that they are being outcast from the world.
Leading their loner's way of life, they decided to head to the next crowd-pleasing place...
